Fresh Oil or First Fruits

In the Bible there are numerous scripture references about anointing oil and the ingredients that were used to make them. Descriptive words such as "pure", "fine", and "choicest" are used to describe the quality and purity.

Pure olive oil, also known as "fresh oil" or "first fruits", is mentioned in Exodus 27:20. The best oil was from olives that were plucked before being fully ripe, and then beaten or squeezed. Today this is known as organic extra virgin olive oil.

The "pure" aroma of some essential oils, plants, trees and herbs identified in the bible will not always smell pleasant to us. Anointing oils made with genuine Frankincense and Myrrh will have sweet, spicy balsamic undertones; Spikenard will have a heavy, spicy-animal aroma, that many people find difficult to embrace.

God has always asked us to sacrifice the "first fruits" in our lives to Him. Therefore, we believe in importing only the finest ingredients from around the world to prepare our anointing oils.
