About Our Essential Oils, Absolute, CO2 Extracts, Macerations
Essential oils and plant extracts come from all over the world. Each with their own history, language, culture, and uses. Their quality and pureness varies dramatically based on the standards and needs of the perfumery, cosmetic and therapeutic aromatherapy industry.
There are many references to plants, trees, flowers, aromatics, incense and ointments in the Bible. You will be surprised at how often they are mentioned once you start to look for them. Many of these plants were macerated or infused into a carrier oil such as olive oil or animal fat in Biblical days, however, there is growing evidence that some crude distillation practices were also employed.

Essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extracts and macerations are aromatic volatile liquids distilled or extracted from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. For definitions of these terms click here.
Scent profiles and odor strength of essential oils, CO2 extracts, absolutes, macerations, and enfleurage pomades will vary for each type of product and is influenced by: part of plant extracted, extraction process, season, climate, time of day of extraction, country, soil conditions, etc.
Example: Hyssop essential oils grown and distilled in the UK will smell different than Hyssop essential oil grown and extracted in Bulgaria or Hungary. The chemical profiles will be similar but yet different. Exploring the fascinating journey of plant aromatics can be exciting yet confusing if one does not understand these basic truths.

Much of the information on essential oils found in aromatherapy books is based on herbal monographs and herbal preparations. Essential oils are highly concentrated essences of the plant and their chemical properties are different than fresh or dried herbal properties.
Our mission is to provide you with the highest quality, pure, unadulterated oils we can obtain. We are unable to guarantee you will like the scent of the oils. Some people like garlic and some don't. It is a matter of personal preference and same applies to natural plant extractions and oils.
Our essential oils and extracts are pure and obtained from trustworthy growers, distillers, and suppliers. There are many companies selling adulterated or substandard products today and the scent profile of our oils may be different than what you expect or have previously experienced.
The sense of smell is different for each individual and is influenced by factors that are out of our control. If you like strong scented oils we recommend you only purchase essential oils, co2 extracts and absolutes on our website. On the other hand, if you have the knowledge, patience, and understanding to work with the subtle scented flower macerations and pomades we are sure you will be happy with their amazing healing attributes and scent profiles.
Samples of our oils are available to purchase on our website. If you are not familiar with these types of products we recommend you purchase samples before purchasing a larger bottle. Our samples are packaged in small perfume sample sized vials and contain less than 1 ML and expensive oil samples will contain only a few drops. They are designed to give you the opportunity to evaluate the odor profile.
Return policy: We do not accept returns of opened bottles of essential oils, absolutes, co2 extracts, macerations, flower pomades, or samples as we are unable to ensure the purity once a bottle has been opened.
Some of our products are very rare and difficult to extract and the scent profiles may be different than what you expect. Seasonal conditions, country, soil, and extraction process also affect the scent profile and chemistry of an oil. These varying conditions are customary and expected when dealing with natural products. Therefore, we encourage our customers to order samples before buying larger quantities.
