Essential oils and plant extracts come from all over the world. Each with their own history, language, culture, and uses. Their quality and pureness varies dramatically based on the standards and needs of the perfumery, cosmetic and therapeutic aromatherapy industry.

Victorie Inc. strives to import the finest aromatherapy grade essential oils, absolutes, and CO2 extracts. We are actively building partnerships with small growers and distillers around the world and have over 200 oils available. If you do not see an oil you are looking for please call us for stock availability. We are diligently updating our website to make on-line ordering available for all oils.

Essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extracts and macerations are aromatic volatile liquids distilled or extracted from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. For definitions of these terms click here.

Scent profiles and odor strength of essential oils, CO2 extracts, absolutes, macerations, and enfleurage pomades will vary for each type of product and is influenced by: part of plant extracted, extraction process, season, climate, time of day of extraction, country, soil conditions, etc.

Example: Hyssop essential oils grown and distilled in the UK will smell different than Hyssop essential oil grown and extracted in Bulgaria or Hungary. The chemical profiles will be similar but yet different. Exploring the fascinating journey of plant aromatics can be exciting yet confusing if one does not understand these basic truths.

Aromatic plants and oils have been used for thousands of years; for incense, anointing oil, meditation and prayer, perfume, cosmetics and for their medicinal and culinary applications. There are many references to plants, trees, flowers, aromatics, incense and ointments in the Bible. You will be surprised at how often they are mentioned once you start to look for them.

Apothecaries or perfumers are also mentioned in Bible. Scripture references: Exodus 30:25, 35; 37:29; 2 Chronicles 16:14; Nehemiah 3:8; Ecclesiastes 10:1. Apothecaries are trained in the art of preparing and dispensing drugs or compounds for medicinal purposes. A perfumer is one who makes and sells perfumes. Training to be become an apothecary or perfumer takes many years of rigorous study and apprenticeship.

Warning: There are many books on the market advocating the internal use of essential oils. We do not advocate this practice unless you are under the supervision of a trained medical professional.

Much of the information on essential oils found in aromatherapy books is based on herbal monographs and herbal preparations. Essential oils are highly concentrated essences of the plant and their chemical properties are different than herbal properties.

Samples of our oils are available to purchase on our website. If you are not familiar with these types of products we recommend you purchase samples before purchasing a larger bottle.

Our samples are usually packaged in 5 ML amber dropper bottles and contain a generous 1 ML (20-25 drops) of oil, unless stated otherwise on our website. Samples packaged in this manner will allow you to add alcohol or carrier oil directly to the bottle to use or evaluate the oil.

Return policy: Merchandise must be undamaged and in original condition and packaging. To ensure purity of our products, we will only accept returns of UNOPENED bottles or containers of essential oil, absolutes, CO2 extracts, macerations, enfleurage pomades. Returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Samples are non-refundable.
