Myrrh Gum Resin
Scientific Name: Commiphora myrrha Country of Origin: Somalia Grade: 1st Choice Grade
This small scrubby tree from the Middle East and northeast Africa produces a precious gum which has been traded for thousands of years. In the Bible, it is a gift to baby Jesus from the visiting Maji. It was also used as a perfume, incense, medicine, ointment and an embalming ingredient.
