Biblical
Apothecary
The Biblical
Apothecary will spend many years in prayer and mediation
studying the scripture references about the plants, herbs,
flowers, and trees mentioned in the Bible. Many
formulas will be given to the biblical apothecary by divine revelation,
which will be later be confirmed through study and
research. This is just one of God's ways of
making sure our flesh does not get in the way. As
Christians, it is also our responsibility to test the
spirits, and be certain it is from the true and righteous
God...as not every message we hear is really from God. For
instance, God will not give you a formula that could be
potentially hazardous to be used on the skin.
Therefore, we must pray, listen and confirm through study
and research. It is the responsibility of the
apothecary to know the safety and hazard information about
the ingredients they employ in creating anointing oils,
healing balms or perfumes. It is easy to blend some
essential oils with olive oil and create an anointing oil,
however, it is only the true Biblical Apothecary that will
have the passion and desire to learn and apply the required
knowledge in its purest form.
We are currently
revising our book "How To Make Anointing Oils". It
will be replaced with a long distance training course about
the plants, herbs, flowers and trees in the Bible.
This training course will include extraction methods,
historical, medicinal, and safety information based on
Biblical principles. It will also include information
on fragrance oils and adulterated essential oils.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How can we make
an inexpensive authentic anointing oil.
A. You can use
plain olive oil as an anointing oil. This is relatively
inexpensive and is scripturally correct.
Q. Should I use real
essential oils and plant extracts or inexpensive fragrance oils to
make anointing oils.
A. This is a
decision only you and God can decide. You will need to
determine the purpose of the anointing oil and base your answer on
the TRUTH in God's Word.
Q. Can anointing oils be
made with cheap fragrance (synthetic) oils.
A. Yes, however, they
will not have any therapeutic or medicinal qualities. The
anointing oils simply need to be labeled correctly so that
individuals are not mislead to believe is is authentic or pure.
Q. Did they use
fragrance (man-made synthetic) oils to make anointing oil in Biblical
days.
A. No. They
used real plant resins, bark, flowers, leaves, spices, extracts, and
oils. Fragrance oils were made specifically for the modern day
perfume industry to reduce the cost of making perfumes and
standardize a scent.
Q. Can you tell us
how to make an anointing oil.
A. An example of
an anointing oil formula can be found by
